Three Suns Editing

"I see editing as a form of midwifery, assisting writers in bringing their concepts into the light."
Sarah Dea, Owner

Three Suns Editing offers a full range of editing services by an experienced editor/writer/teacher.  All writing will be considered, from technical writing to fiction, specializing in working with new writers of fiction and creative nonfiction.  All projects will be treated professionally, but personally, with the needs of each writer in mind.

I offer writers the benefits of my experience as a college English instructor, technical writer/editor, copy editor, and published author.  My goal is to help you, as writer, to achieve your goal, whether that is to produce a resume that entices an employer to hire you or to craft a novel that readers just can’t put down.

For new writers, I offer a comprehensive critique of your writing, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses, and suggesting ways to improve your text.  I also explain any recurring problems I may see in your writing so that you can avoid those problems in the future.

I see my work as a form of midwifery.
The writing is yours, expressing your voice and your ideas.
My job is to help you successfully bring those ideas into the daylight.

Maieutic.
It's pronouced ma-yoo-tik.  It comes from the Greek word meaning "to act as a midwife."  Socrates called himself a midwife, using his questions to bring people's consciousness to clearer and higher ideals.
